Jemima is the founder and director of Jemasen Early Explorers, bringing over a decade of experience working with children and youth across a variety of settings. Her work spans daycare centres, group homes, school boards, Sunday school programs, and orphanage volunteer work—giving her a deep understanding of children’s diverse developmental needs and family dynamics.
Jemima holds a BA in Child and Youth Studies with a minor in Psychology, as well as an Early Childhood Education diploma.
She is also trained and experienced in supporting children with special needs, building individualized plans, adapting environments, and using communication systems such as picture exchange.
With a strong belief in relationship-building, Jemima’s approach centers on trust, respect, and creating learning spaces where every child feels valued. She is passionate about the Reggio Emilia philosophy and uses it to guide child-led exploration, creativity, and meaningful learning experiences.
In addition to her academic and professional background, Jemima has operated a childcare program for several years, gaining hands-on experience in program development, family partnership, and business leadership. Her vision for Jemasen Early Explorers is to provide families with a warm, safe, inclusive home childcare experience grounded in quality care and strong educational foundations.
